Jesus meets Mary and Martha who are grieving their dead brother, Lazarus. Ezekiel is taken on a vision of the valley of dry bones, which come back to life, a sign of God’s faithfulness to Israel.

One of the ironies of our faith is that we can fit loud “Hosanna’s” and angry “Crucify Him!” chants neatly into the same week, or even the same worship service! But that may be so because it is a lot like life where the joy and sorrow if things are often mixed together.

The Resurrection of Jesus has cosmic implications. The whole world is lifted up with him on the cross and in the Resurrection, and groans in anticipation of its healing.
