What is Messy Church?
It is an experience of worship that is all ages, creative, biblical, and community based! The two hour gatherings will include activities, dinner, storytelling, and worship along a biblical theme or idea.
Who should come?
Anyone who wants to experience being with God and others in a non-traditional setting. Messy Church is especially good for people with little or no religious background, people from other faiths who want to meet God and others as a family, and those who are looking for something a little less formal.
What will we do?
Each gathering will start with a simple welcome, time to engage in some activity based fun on the theme of the day, share a meal together, hear the biblical story in an engaging way, and partcipate in a very simple time of worship.
What will it cost?
There is no cost to come, but if you are so moved a free-will offering will be taken so that we can keep Messy Church going!
Do I need to sign up?
No! Just come with your family, whether that's a traditional family unit, single parent household, same-gender couples, multi-generational households, or any other kind of "family" you may be. There will be a place for you.
What will we do for two hours?
It may change a bit from time to time but generally we will follow the outline below to make sure that we have time for everything and everyone!
4:30 p.m. Welcome
4:40 p.m. Activities (four specially designed activities plus Play Dough and Lego tables for the youngest ones)
